Achievement Unlocked: Level 10,000!!!
Back in 2020, when COVID struck and the world went full “work from home” mode, laptops suddenly became hotter than graphics cards during 11.11 Sale. That’s when we saw a new quest: getting laptops to folks falling through the digital divide. So we geared up, rallied the community, and started collecting laptops like XP points. With some love and a lot of tech elixir (a.k.a. refurbishing), we gave the laptops a second life and passed them on to low-resource families. Fast forward 5 years, and we’re thrilled to announce that Engineering Good has now distributed over 10,000 laptops in partnership with over 340 community partners!
Thanks to our incredible community of volunteers, donors, and corporate allies, these laptops are now helping low-resource families, jobseekers, migrant workers, and underprivileged individuals to connect, learn, upskill, and keep up with the digital grind.
And let’s not forget, every salvaged device that we rescue from the e-waste pile is a double win: it powers up digital inclusion and levels up sustainability.
