About the campaign
In our tech-driven world, many individuals still struggle with accessing learning devices such as laptops and assistive technology. This hinders their ability to fully participate in education, employment, and social activities.
To date, Engineering Good has provided over 8,000 laptops and assistive devices to vulnerable communities. And we’re still far from done.
Your support can make a profound difference to enable our Digital Inclusion and Assistive Technology work. In Digital Inclusion, we quality-check, refurbish and distribute secondhand laptops to low-income communities. In Assistive Technology, we develop and distribute specialised assistive tools and devices that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Here’s the deal: every refurbished laptop costs up to $200, covering everything from spare parts to logistics, while developing customised assistive technologies and solutions costs even more.
Your donation can make a real difference, helping us reach more communities and create opportunities for those who need them the most. Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
“In today’s tech-driven society, individuals recognize the significance of using the internet to acquire new skills and keep themselves up-to-date.” — Rebul, a Migrant Worker
“Open-source assistive technology makes solutions accessible to everyone. It encourages technology for a positive impact by showing the community that everyone can play a part in making an impact on the lives of people with disabilities or the disadvantaged, and the impact can really change lives.” — Timothy, community partner with muscular dystrophy
